IMPORTANT NOTE: Virtual folders in the ALSong playlist do not exist on your hard disk. They are just a convenient way to help organize songs inside of the playlist. Further, the folder view in ALSong should not be considered as a literal representation of your files on disk. All folders in the playlist are themeselves virtual and not actual folders on disk. So, when you move songs around in the folders in the playlist, they are not actually moved on disk. This lets you organize playlists quickly and easily without worrying about the actual files on disk. You can think of ALSong playlists as an easy way to have many different views of your music.

MORE IMPORTANT NOTE: When saving your playlists, make sure to save them as ALSong playlists (*.asl) in order to preserve the organization of the files. Other playlist formats like M3U and PLS do not let you organize your music as powerfully as an ALSong playlist.
